Control-F Managing Director Kevin Mansell was invited back to speak at this conference organised by Lancashire Constabulary in March 2010 and aimed at phone examiners in the law enforcement community.
In his presentation ”Phones are getting smarter……..are you?”, Kevin asked the audience who’d want to be a mobile phone examiner? Devices being submitted have more and more features and hold increasing amounts of data. Forensic tools and processes are continually improving in their ability to retrieve previously inaccessible deleted data (read ‘more work’ !) At the same time, there is increased scrutiny of how mobile phone examinations are being conducted. And good luck asking for more headcount!
