Course Aims
Memory Card Forensics for Phone Examiners is a 3 day training course designed to teach mobile phone examiners how to retrieve deleted data from memory cards whilst ensuring compliance with the ACPO Principles of Digital Computer Based Evidence. Without proper training and equipment this critical evidence could be overlooked.
What you will learn
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Produce a forensic image (exact copy) of the contents of a memory card
- Retrieve deleted data from memory cards found in mobile phones
- Retrieve deleted data from selected Nokia handsets (e.g. N95 8GB)
- Identify situations where further detailed analysis by a computer forensics analyst is required
- Explain and justify their actions in court
Course Information
This course is specifcally targeted at phone examiners who have not had prior computer forensics training but do need to examine memory cards. Previous experience in examining mobile phones is not essential but would be benefcial.
