David Mann

After graduating from South Wales University with a Master’s degree in Computer Forensics, David moved to Birmingham in 2015 to work for West Midlands Police’s Digital Forensic Unit. David has worked on many high profile cases and specialises in mobile device forensics and reverse engineering mobile applications.

David joined the Control-F team as an associate in 2023 and contributes to R&D projects, researching and updating course content. David also brings his considerable Python experience into the classroom when he supports the delivery of our Python Scripting 1 course.

Besides trying to break into encrypted phone applications, David enjoys watching Formula 1 and playing guitar. He tried golf once, but hit the ground more than the ball.
